YIN & YANG TANDEM

Congratulations to Jacqui & Tina on our Woman's team with their 2nd consecutive National Championship win and to Craig & Gene on the Canadian National team for competing at the World Championships! Way to go guys!

The YIN & YANG high performance tandem is made specifically for road or track racing and those who prefer to do light and fast touring/group rides. The YIN & YANG is a full custom carbon fiber bike for the utmost comfort and performance for both of its riders. It's the world's lightest tandem and has been designed and engineered to make the movements of two feel as one. Our full custom build process allows us to not have the lateral stiffening tube you would see in traditional metal-framed tandems. Since we build the tubes custom and our tube joining process is so much stronger than traditional welds we are able to engineer the frame to not need this tube while still being stiffer than those with the tube! This means more comfort and less weight for the riders. We also don't believe in the old super wide rear ends that you may see on other tandems. We build 130mm and 135mm wide rear ends because the selection of these wheels is just so much better and the available wheels in those sizes are now rivaling if not surpassing the strength of the old wide stance wheels of old and since you won't be loading the bike down for heavy touring you don't need to carry the extra weight with you!

Each and every YIN & YANG is a one of a kind handcrafted work of art that is custom made as the riders wish. With Ruegamer we give the rider many more options than any other "custom builder" out there. Here at Ruegamer we like to start out with the riders themselves; we take your size, shape, weight and intended use all into account when we build your frame. This way we are able to custom tune the frame to perfectly fit your needs.

Of course every YIN & YANG we build is fully custom with its geometry to the rider. Want an extended seat tube all the way up to the saddle, or two? Done!

We like to let the rider choose the look of the carbon; do you like unidirectional material, plain weave or twill weave? Do you like a smaller weave like 3k or do you like a bigger weave like 12k. The choice is yours! We also offer the YIN & YANG in a track version as well as with S&S titanium couplers. If you race both road and on the track like our 5 time National tandem Champion, Jacqui Lockwood, you can have your bike made with the Track Back.

Well, now that you kind of have an overall idea of how your bike is going to look you get to the single hardest thing with building a custom bike, deciding on the paint job! We give you the option of a couple of eye-catching schemes to help this along. You get to choose any two-color stock schemes.

If you want something truly custom of your own design we are very glad to accommodate your ideas and will work with you to create that very special custom look you are dreaming of. You can even have us color match your special favorite flavor of color!

More options you say? In addition with the basic frame options you are also given the choice from two diameters seat post size, 27.2 or 28.6. You can even choose a fully custom seat tube size, its up to you! Want a disc brake and a linear pull brake? No problem! No one on the planet gives you these kinds of choices!

Come and achieve balance with the YIN & YANG!
